Water, water, everywhere

Well, if you've been watching the news you know that we are grateful we live on a hill. Middle TN is flooded beyond belief. What I want to know is, what part of STAY HOME do people not understand? The mayor of Nashville told people to stay out of Nashville today (Monday), but off they go to work. The train that I take can't run, because tracks were destroyed, so they are lining up Gray Line buses to take people to work.
Yesterday in the middle of all the rain, three young men embarked on an adventure of inner tubing. Only one came back. 150, yes I said 150 cars were stuck on I-24 with water to their roofs. The other side of the interstate didn't have water, so they got out of their cars and were walking all over the other side with cars speeding by. Then a portable building from a nearby school broke loose and came floating down, smashing into all the cars. There are some pretty unbelievable sights here. Most extreme flooding recorded in our history. Opryland hotel had to be evacuated to a high school, because all rooms in other hotels were booked. What a vacation remembrance those folks will have!
Since schools are closed, downtown Nashville is full of people with cameras watching the river rise. Again are they home?? NO!
We humans are a stubborn, arrogant bunch. Nevertheless, I hope everyone is OK.
