Home Sick

So I'm playing hooky today. Got the virus going around work, I figured since they gave it to me, they can do without me. Actually, my head feels like it's going to explode, and I'm alternating between chills and sweats, so I guess it's legit and not hooky.
When I was little and stayed home from school, my mom always got me gingerale and a new coloring book. Then for lunch it was chicken noodle soup, and at night a hot toddy(tea with lemon, honey, and whiskey). That was her way of saying go to sleep and don't bother me during the night. To this day, I have to have Canada Dry gingerale when I'm sick.
So I get to lay on the couch and read and fall aleep. I guess sometimes you need these times of rest. It lets your body rejuvenate.
Our church is having 21 days of prayer and fasting. I am rejuvenating my whole spirit. I am not going without food, but have cut out certain things. It's good. I feel a change coming on. No more drowning my sorrows in wine and laziness. Time to get back to work. I'll let you know how it turns out.
