Jericho
There's a new show on TV, Jericho, that is kind of cheesy, like one big disaster movie. The lead guy is trying to redeem himself, so he's the hero in every scene. (Come on, give someone else a chance to shine.) But the good thing about the show, is that it really makes you ponder the future. Nukes are a reality. We will see this happen. Part of me says, you can't prepare for somthing like this. Another part of me wants to run out and buy duct tape and rolls of plastic. What do you think? How are you preparing? We're supposed to have a family plan, not just for this, but for anything, like terroist attacks. Honestly, does this seem real to anyone? I guess to the people in NYC it does. Such a world we live in. Children can't even go to school without you wondering if a gunman will come along and wipe out your dreams. Boy, am I a pessimist today.
So, I guess my plan is to stay where I am. I will freak out if I'm in Nashville and my honey is in Lebanon, but we don't really have much control over this, do we? Peace that passes understanding is a good thing to fall on when this happens. Hope you all can find that.
When I was in elementary school I was living in South Florida. We had the Cuban Missle Crisis and had air raid drills at school. I remember my parents being glued to the TV, but to me, a young child, it was just fun to jump under the desk and "be a turtle". What innocence. Faith like a child, everything is going to be OK.

The other day, Spike had me singing to him, "Row row row your boat gently down the stream...merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream."
ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on...la la life goes on...
ha ha!
